30 imagesThe UK faces a potential energy crisis. The recent closure of many power stations and the failure in forward planning to get new facilities built in time has left Britain exposed. We are vulnerable to the possibility that soon our energy demands will exceed levels which can be met, the risk of this eventuality is especially prevalent in the coming winters. Calculations show that at the current rate, surplus energy capacity in 2016 could be close to zero, leaving the nation on the cusp of crisis with potential blackouts. With no long term solution guaranteed before 2018, more gas is imported for higher prices ashore. This project is an interaction with power stations, some abandoned, some due for demolition, others who's future still hangs in the balance. These structures are intrinsically linked to the history of the local area, with the both the local workforce and the environment.
